Masters degree

The Masters degree at Alanus University

Since December 2009 the university also offers a Master in Business Management. Enrolment for the Master course is possible at any time for the autumn semester (starting in September) or the spring semester (starting in March). Students have six semesters in which to complete the extra-occupational course of study. On passing the Masters examination, Alanus Univerity will award the academic degree of Master of Arts (abbrviated: MA).

All students must complete a total of 17 modules (core modules in business administration, specialisation modules, art and general studies). The tuition for these compulsory modules is usually given in block periods of a week at a time. This amounts to around three to four block weeks per semester. In addition, there is project work and a Masters thesis.

In total, around 12 hours of private study per week are required.

The course prepares you for employment at senior management level. To achieve this, you will be encouraged to think socially and act responsibly, as a business person, trained across all the disciplines.

PhD

In the future, Alanus University also plans to offer the opportunity to complete a doctorate.

Certification courses

As an option for students interested only in selected topics, the Business Management faculty offers specialised certification courses ». Upon successful completion, the student is awarded a certificate.
