Art is an integral component of the course and helps students to overcome obstacles in decision-making or design and to develop the confidence to work creatively. In this way, students sharpen their senses, enabling them, when faced with complex business situations, to arrive quickly at a holistic overview of the problems and to develop flexible solutions on this basis. Art therefore makes a contribution to students' development in terms of creative, open-minded and flexible thinking.
Alanus University also places great importance on students developing cultural awareness and an awareness of values. What is needed in today's economy, besides the ability to work in a team and problem-solving skills, is a sense of responsibility, both towards the company you work for and towards society and the environment. Students will cultivate these interdisciplinary qualities by grappling with issues to do with the arts.
